TWEWY Ultimate Boss Strategy

Alright, for the first time in my blogs, this might contain spoilers. I don't think it will affect the story in any way, but it may spoil the ultimate boss for you.

First off, the ultimate boss is actually composed of two previous bosses (although not their characters). You'll be facing the Iron Maiden's noise form on top (tiger), and Minamimoto's noise form on the bottom (lion). However, both have WAY upped stats.
Yet, one boss is much simpler than the other. I don't know if it's my stats setup or what, but Neku was getting trounced by the lion, his around-body leg kick and flying attacks are especially painful (about a third of my total HP for a flying attack). To make matters worse, he simply will not stay still, even when doing attacks that would juggle most other enemies in the air.

Yet, on the upper screen, I found Mrs. Konishi to be ultra predictable. She does three things only: teleport, make a shield image, and send out a horizontal attack.

I beat them on easy using my standard deck and Beat, but I realized it would never work for ultimate mode.

THE STRATEGY:

First, go back to boss #44, the 9 tailed fox on Joshua Day 3. Beat him on normal at least 3 times to get Teleport Warning. It's a C level pin, so you can equip 3 of them. Level them up if you desire (albeit not necessary). Put the remaining three slots as healing pins (there are more than one type of healing pins, so you CAN use multiple even though they're all A class) (and preferribly a pin that automatically uses healing pins).

What's so great about Teleport Warning? It lets Neku become invincible temporarily. Of course, he can't attack, but with three pins, you can just keep dragging Neku about, almost continuously invincible. A lucky shot or two may land (in a seven minute battle, got hit noticeably 3 times (some attack do only minor damage)).

Now the real trick: use Joshua. Joshua's levitate (pressing up) is vital to this attrition battle. As all you are doing on the bottom is dragging randomly, most of your attention can be on the top screen. When the tiger is in the upper position, simply stay grounded and don't do anything (standing attacks are comparatively weak and might stop getting another attack in later). You don't even have to dodge as ALL of her attacks are perfectly horizontal. Just stand there, looking pretty . Then, when she teleports to the bottom section, levitate and attack away! It still won't do much damage, but this is an attrition battle after all. Done correctly, Joshua will never get hit (although I pushed some and got hit a couple of times) if you just stay where she isn't (you can press down to stop levitate). And, Neku should only rarely get hit.

Still, it would be a nasty attrition battle, if it wasn't for the joker card in your deck. If you've reached the Ultimate Enemy, hopefully you have maxed out Joshua/Neku's synch attack. So whatever you do, DO NOT use the synch until level 3. Level 1 hardly touches them. Level 2 hurts a bit. But, level 3 seems to take out about 1/3 of their HP on ultimate! At most, you might need two of them to finish them off. I only needed one. Makes the battle a LOT quicker.

So there you have it. Neku is invincible and Joshua wins by attrition. It's not pretty, but it's very effective. And, this should make for my final blog on TWEWY. I have nearly reached my personal 100% completion. Only three enemies left to find (and I think I know where they are) and maybe 10 items to collect. Once those are done, I'll probably call it quits, at least temporarily.

Good luck!

Challenge:
Your challenge is simple: find a better strategy for the Ultimate Boss that beats my best time of 7 minutes, 19.9 seconds and gives consistant victories.

BTW, if you think Tin Pin is easy, be sure to take on the challenge on Beat, Day 3. Wow are those guys tough. I needed to actually choose my pins to win (instead of using whatever deck I had open).

Just as I was getting bored...

...TWEWY does it again!

Well, first an update. I am at over 95% complete in both items and noise report (and have almost all of the stars on noise report too). Level 100 passed by a while ago (well not passed... it's the final level). And now, now I have every report too.

So what did TWEWY do? A true ULTIMATE boss. For once I actually knew who it was before getting there. Although I must admit at being a little disappointed that it wasn't my other guess. What would be a better boss than one of those annoying pigs? Just a giant version! Kinda like Mr Mew on the level 3 synch attack with Shiki . But no luck.

For those who do not know the ultimate boss, know this. The final boss in the game comes with 25,000 HP and 100 attack; I beat him on ultimate with level 21. The Ultimate Boss comes with 5K more HP, but it's the attack that's a killer. 1000! They hit 10 times harder! I tried doing the battle with my ultimate/21 combo that I used for the final boss... died in about 5 seconds, just 6 attacks to destroy me! Now that's what I call an ultimate boss . At this point, I have beaten them on easy and will try hard/ level 91 shortly (highest level that gives 100% drop rate).

Challenge:
Yeah, another TWEWY challenge. This will hopefully be simple for you. What set of special items does the hidden store carry? (the store that is NOT open on Another Day)

Wii Minigames: My First Experience

Alrighty. Can you believe it? I had yet to play minigames on the Wii! The thing it is known for (especially with Wii Sports and Wii Play) I had not done yet .

And, still it wasn't through either of those that I played my first Wii minigames, although I have both games (ended up that Wii Play was cheaper than just a remote ).

No, my first minigames were on Sonic & the Secret Ring. Some of them aren't horrid. Others were. It's certainly a different platform for minigames, and I see why there are so many minigame collections. The Wii is made in such a way that there are plenty of options for innovative minigames.

Thus far, I have rather enjoyed the minigame Wii experience. Then again, I own Mario Party 1-3 (although the original still stands as my favorite).

However, while I liked the minigames, I cannot stand the minigame mode I used. The pirate treasure hunt is horrid. In fact, there should have been a tie for first as both Knuckles and me made it to the end on the same turn (and both won first in the minigame, so no difference in movement). I did win, but it made it a bit cheaper. I would have preferred a duel. Then again, the whole game was cheap. Knuckles had 16 spaces left to move and it was only because of getting a tailwind for double movement that he had a shot at winning. I had one space left, and that was after a headwind (half movement), a whirlpool (no movement), and a storm (move back 9 spaces!). It took winning 8 of the 11 minigames to win! That was pathetic. Won't be picking that mode again.

Challenge:
How about a Nintendo 64 challenge? There is a game for it called Wave Race 64. The VC got high reviews but I've only played it on the N64. Your challenge is that there is a certain course with a giant steel door on it guarding a shortcut. I've managed to take the shortcut once or twice, but never consistantly. Your challenge is to figure out how to consistantly be able to make it over (or more probably under) the door. And, if you do figure it out, please tell me .
